Abstract
This report asks how the special relationship between countries in Africa and the Nordic region may be affected by a changing global order, and how the African–Nordic cooperation can continue to evolve and remain relevant for both regions.

The report was prepared by a team of African and Nordic scholars and funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was launched in Helsinki in June 2022 at a side-event of the 20th meeting of African - Nordic Foreign Ministers.

CMI contributed to the editing and prepared three of the chapters in the report (Ch 2: African-Nordic relations: meeting of foreign ministers; Ch 11: Nordic development aid and Africa; and Ch. 13: Migration in African-Nordic relations).
